In both the 2007 and 2008 Enumclaw Healthcare Foundation Summits, one of the leading concerns voiced by community members was the lack of easily accessible, up-to-date information about health and human service resources available in the Rainier Foothills area.
Hard copy directories have been published by the Enumclaw Human Services Advisory Board, White River Community Outreach and the Enumclaw Courier-Herald over the past few years, but an electronic data base of local information was lacking.
The Rainier Foothills Community Health Coalition Steering Committee decided to create a task force to address this issue. The Access to Information Task Force was formed and began meeting in December of 2009.
The charge of the Information Task Force has been to create an electronic public health and human service information data base that provides easy access for foothill residents to local and statewide services. The ASK F.L.I.N. website is the end result of the Information Task Force’s commitment to creating “Healthy Communities” within the Rainier Foothills area.
